Nick & Jess – February 2012

“My name is Nick and I’m Jessica.  We’re 23 and we’re from Canada.  Why ayahuasca?  I think for us it had to be ayahuasca.  Ayahuasca has brought us together in a way that we both have always wanted.  I think without all the distractions and hustle and bustle of the western world, getting in touch with yourself, your true self, it just brings in the love and pushes all the crap out.  Definitely.

It’s amazing.  Well, for starters, the Mishana community is absolutely special.  I learned so much from them, just watching them live a simple, happy life, and it’s kind of a life that I would like to live myself.  It’s just wonderful all together.  Everything about it.

Don Enrique is very very very special.  The healing that he did to me in the first two days I was here was amazing.  I was super ill from an infection, an open wound in my stomach.  Within a few days I started feeling better and I was at the point where I couldn’t take it anymore.  I’m very grateful.  His wonderful spirit, so loving…  He is the curandero, not a curandero, the curandero.

Well, it has totally given us a clear perspective on what we want to do, which is lead a good life.  It has totally put us on our path, without question.  If you come down here with questions, sincere questions, questions that are coming from your hear and not necessarily from your mind, you’ll get the answers, and that’s just how it’s gonna go.  I would say look up the Ayahuasca Foundation, because the amount of knowledge these people have, Carlos Tanner, don Enrique, his wife Wilma, Dean, is unsurpassed.  You’re not gonna find the amount of knowledge in any ayahuasca book that these people have.

Everything about this retreat is wonderful.  The camp is solid, solid, solid.  Everything about it, the people here, the Mishana community, amazing people, simple people, happy people, so hard working.  The food here is amazing.  People say it’s a little bland because of the diet, but it’s the best kind of diet that you’re gonna get really.  It helps me grow.  I’ve been here before and I’ll probably be back again.  This is my second home.  It’s the shit.  Look it up for yourself.  It’s awesome.”
